"I am an international tutor in crochet and fibre arts, presently completing an English Diploma in Crochet Design with my thesis marrying felt to crochet.
I have been four times winner of the International Crochet Design Awards and also hold a Diploma in Commercial Art from Melbourne, Australia.
My work has been exhibited in England and New Zealand and I participated in the exhibition, 'Hooked – Contemporary Crochet from Australia and New Zealand', which opened at the Craft Queensland Gallery in May 1999.
A lot of my inspiration for my work has come from nature – the way branches cross each other; the ways leaves fall and sit. Using this knowledge of colour and design, I now include these principles in my work. What works in nature, must work on textiles."
