I'm kept busy throughout the year with this work. Most of my cards are made for the Exeter branch of the Samaritans (Charity N. 231074), although I do make cards for other people, including Pauline Turner [now available online through www.threadoflife.co.uk], and enjoy making 'bespoke' cards for special orders New flowers are generally made in reponse to requests, suggestions or challenges from friends – I now make snails, butterflies and mini Christmas Puddings, too – and to date the number of different flowers that I have made has reached 46: Acorn, Anemone, Arum Lily, Blackberry, Blossom, Bluebell, Buttercup, Carnation/Pink, Christmas Rose, Cyclamen, Daffodil/Narcissus, Daisy, Forget-Me-Not, Forsythia, Foxglove, Freesia, Fuchsia, Hazel Catkins, Heather, Holly, Iris, Ivy, Lavender, Lily, Lily-Of-The-Valley, Marigold (Calendula), Michaelmas Daisy, Mistletoe, Morning Glory (Ipomoea), Orange Blossom, Pansy, Peace Lily, Poinsettia, Poppy, Primrose, Pussy Willow, Rose, Rosehip, Snowdrop, Sunflower, Sweet Pea, Thistle, Tulip, Violet, Wild Rose, Wild Strawberry |
